SALT LAKE CITY -- The No. 44 University of Utah women's tennis team heads to the Miami Spring Invitational hosted by the University of Miami Friday through Sunday. All four competing teams rank in the ITA's top 50, including Vanderbilt (11), Miami (12), Texas (22) and Utah (44).  
The tournament will be played in round-robin format with each team playing all of the others in both singles and doubles play over the course of the weekend. Competition will commence at 7 a.m. MT on Friday and Saturday and 6 a.m. MT on Sunday. 
Utah is scheduled to face Vanderbilt in doubles and Miami in singles on Friday, before taking on Texas in doubles and Vanderbilt in singles on Saturday. The Utes finish off the tournament with doubles against Miami and singles against Texas on Sunday.

Last Time Out
Utah last took the court Nov. 7-9 at the Brown Invitational in Providence R.I. Facing competition from Arkansas, Stony Brook and Brown, the Utes managed six total singles and doubles victories over the three-day tournament.
Utes in the Rankings
The Utes claim a No. 44 ranking to begin their 2015 campaign, improving 14 spots from their No. 58 start in last season's initial poll. Senior Tereza Bekerova also took 100th in the nation on the singles list.
Next Time Out
Utah will head to Ann Arbor, Mich., for the ITA Kickoff Weekend Jan. 24-25. The Utes are slated to face Tulsa on day one and either Michigan or Yale on day two.
