Providence, R.I.--Â Utah women's tennis concluded fall play with a tough day of doubles competition and a perfect 7-0 sweep in singles in the final day of the Brown Classic.
Luisa Gerstner Da Rosa recorded a dominant win over Peyton Jennings of Arkansas, 6-1, 6-1 while Victoria Robertson defeated Shwetha Prabakar of Arkansas by the same score. Margo Pletcher and Brianna Turley also defeated opponents from Arkansas, as Pletcher defeated Agne Cepelyte, 6-1, 2-6 (10-3) and Turley defeated Mia Jurasic, 6-7, 7-5 (10-3).
Jena Cheng and Taylor Calton each added a victory over their opponents from Yale, as Cheng defeated Elizabeth Zordani in a decisive victory, 6-0, 6-2, and Calton defeated Amy Yang, 6-4, 6-7 (10-7). Â
The Utes look to begin the spring season in January at the FGCU Invitational in Fort Myers, Fla. Following matches throughout February, Utah will begin Pac-12 Conference play in March with a weekend away at Arizona State and Arizona.
Alexia Petrvoc wrapped up the weekend sweeping her opponents in singles with a 3-0 record while Turley record just one loss in three singles matches to complete the weekend with a 2-1 record.
