The #59 Utes begin Pac-12 Conference play at the Eccles Tennis Center against two ranked opponents in #64 Arizona Friday, Mar. 11 at 1:30 p.m. MST and #36 Arizona State on Sunday, Mar. 13 at 11 a.m. MST.
Sunday’s match against the Sun Devils will be televised on Pac-12 Networks, beginning at 2 p.m. MST with JB Long (PBP) and Mark Knowles (Analyst) calling the action.
“We are excited to start the Pac-12 season at home and likely play the first dual match in our brand new outdoor tennis stadium. Arizona and ASU are very talented and present a major challenge to open the year,” head coach Mat Iandolo said. “The Pac-12 is annually the best league in the country in women’s tennis and this year it has solid teamsfrom top to bottom.”
Wyoming Recap
Utah came away with a victory in a close match against Wyoming last time out at the Eccles Tennis Center on Mar. 4. The Utes and Cowgirls traded points back and forth until the match was tied 3-3 and Taylor Calton was left playing Elisa Koonik. The match went three sets and Calton finished on top 7-5, 3-6, 6-3.
