Utah Softball Earns National Academic Award

Six Utes receive scholar-athlete honors
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -Â Utah Softball was one of five schools from the Pac-12 Conference recognized today by the National Fastpitch Coaches of America as an Easton All-Academic Team.
Meanwhile, the Utes had six student-athletes recognized as Easton/NFCA Division 1 Scholar Athletes, third among all Pac-12 schools. Graduated seniors Bridget Castro, Hannah Flippen and Kay Kay Fronda were honored for a second time along with Ally Dickman, Katie Donovan and Maddie Roth.
The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across seven membership divisions. NCAA Division I, with 1,843 honorees, had the most student-athletes with a 3.5 grade point average or higher.Â
