SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Swimming and Diving will host UNLV this Saturday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. This will be the last dual meet at Ute Natatorium in 2017

"We are excited to be back home this week and face a much-improved UNLV team on Saturday," said head coach Joe Dykstra. "This marks four straight weeks of competition which is tough, especially early in the season, but I am interested to see us continue to perform."
 LAST MEETING
Last season when these two teams met, the Utes were able to defeat UNLV, 192-100 (men) and 178-122 (women). Jordan Anderson turned in a fantastic performance as she won the 1,000 free (10:19.55) and the 200 fly (2:04.80). Sarah Lott was first in the 200 free (1:51.94), with Gillian St. John taking the 50 free (23.69).

For the men, Jack Burton took first in the 100 and 200 breast, while Austin Phillips captured the 200 free touching in at 1:41.88. Brandon Shreeve placed first in the 500 free, finishing with a time of 4:33.96.
 UTAH NOTES
The Utes started the meet on Saturday at Arizona with the men's 200 medley relay team taking first place, clocking in with a time of 1:28.46.
 Sarah Lott and Paul Ungur swept the 100 back events and Jack Burton would take first place in the 100 breast, finishing with a time of 55.91.

Freshman Felix Chiun was another Ute to pick up a win, taking the 100 free with a time of 44.92.

Utah dominated the 200 back as Daniel McArthur finished with a final time of 1:48.82. Genevieve Robertson then took the top spot for the women, clocking in with a final time of 2:17.40.

Freshman Emma Broome contributed to the win total by taking first place in the 100 fly, finishing with a time of 48.23. Ungur would then get his second win of the day in the same event with a time of 48.23.
 UNLV NOTES
The UNLV men's and women's swimming and diving teams dropped an exhibition meet to the University of Toronto on Saturday evening. The men fell to the Blues, 147.5-103.5, while the women were handed a 174-84 setback.

Brad Gonzalez took both distance events of the meet, thanks to times of 4:33.86 in the 500 and 9:21.48 in the 1000 free, with Avi Cohen winning the 200 fly in 1:50.49. Robert Morgan claimed both diving events, with scores of 301.95 on 1-meter and 308.8 on 3-meter.

For the women, Mykalla Fielding claimed both diving events, with scores of 291.1 on the 1-meter and 264.5 on the 3-meter. To cap the evening, the Rebels finished first in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:35.82, with the help of Sara Delay, Eva Kim, Sydney Schuette and Caitlyn Schreiber.
