SAN DIEGO - Utah women's tennis wrapped up day one at the San Diego State Fall Classic at the Aztec Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.Â
The Utes started off the day with two wins in doubles play. Freshman Jasmine Rich and senior
Victoria Robertson faced off against Acero and Mulbarger of San Diego State in the red doubles draw, coming out victorious, 6-3. The duo will face Ronaldson and Wajcik of Colorado tomorrow.Â
Junior
Brianna Turley and senior
Margo Pletcher also defeated Bongart and Anderson of  Liberty, 6-2 in the black doubles draw. They will take on Fumagalli and Barnickel of Air Force tomorrow.Â
Brianna Turley would later notch a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Georgia Lawson of Fresno State in the singles silver draw. She will take on Gemma Garcia of San Diego tomorrow at 10 a.m.
Seniors
Alexia Petrovic and
Jena Cheng fell in the red doubles draw to Garcia and Nonnenmacher, 6-3. They will play in the consolation round tomorrow against Saltzen and Bacharach of Cal Poly.Â
In the blue doubles draw, sophomores Leah Heimuli and Whitney Turley fell to Anderson and Kukaras of San Diego, 6-2. Tomorrow, they will face Jones and Deames of Air Force.Â
All doubles matches will begin at 9 a.m. tomorrow.Â
