FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Utah sits in seventh place after the first day of competition at the 2017 Pac-12 Women's Swimming Championships.
There were only two relays that took place this evening with the top Ute performance turned in during the 200 medley.
Shayla Archer,
Genevieve Robertson,
Kristine Pataray and
Gillian St. John finished seventh with its best time of the season in the event, 1:38.95.
The 800 -free quartet of
Dorien Butter,
Sarah Lott,
Jordan Anderson and
Hailey Pabst trimmed almost 17 seconds off its top time of the season, finishing eighth in 7:15.51
The lone diving event today was the men's one-meter.
Josiah Purss placed 11th and
Connor Cain finished 13th.
The Pac-12 Championships will continue tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. PT with the prelims of the 500 free, 200 IM and 50 free. The finals of those events will get underway at 6 p.m. PT along with the 200 free relay.
In diving, the men's three-meter prelims will start at noon with the women's one-meter prelims at 2:15 p.m. PT and finals at 4:45 p.m. PT.
