BEAVER CREEK, Colo. – With a career-best fourth-place finish, senior
Joergen Brath led the Utah ski team in the giant slalom on the first day of the RMISA Championships/NCAA West Regional, held at Beaver Creek Resort and hosted by Denver. The Utes stand fourth after the first day of racing.
It was the fourth career top five finish for Brath.
Dominic Demschar had his third top 10 finish of the year with a seventh-place run while
Sam Dupratt finished 10th. Utah was second in the race with 77 points.
Endre Bjertness finished 27
th while
Martin Grasic did not finish his first run and
Ty Sprock did not start.
For the women,
Roni Remme led the Utes with a ninth-place finish.
Chloe Fausa was 13
th while
Abby Ghent placed 18
th.
Julie Mohagen was 25
th with
Sabine Krautgasser 27
th.
The Utes stand fourth with 134 points, trailing first-place Montana State (172), second-place Denver (152.5), and third-place Colorado (149).
