Utah Beach Volleyball Heads to Pac-12 Championships

Utes travel to Tucson for conference meet.
TUCSON, Ariz. – The Utah beach volleyball team is set to compete at the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championships this Thursday through Saturday, April 27-29.  The conference championships will be hosted by Arizona and held in Tucson, Ariz.

No. 8-seeded Utah will begin the tournament Thursday at 10 a.m. MT, facing No. 9-seeded Oregon. If Utah wins the dual, the next match would be at 2 p.m. MT against No. 1-seeded and defending national champion USC. In the team championships, the tournament is double-elimination. If Utah were to drop the dual against Oregon, the Utes will be back in action at 3 p.m. MT in the contender's bracket, against the loser between No. 2-seeded UCLA and No. 7-seeded Washington.

As well as the team championships, there is also a pairs championship. The pairs championship will be single elimination. The Utes will have two pairs represent the team in the tournament.

Junior Carly Trueman and freshman Bailey Choy will compete as the No.17 seed and open play at 4 p.m. MT on Friday. Trueman and Choy will face No.17-seeded Grace Campbell and Nicole Anderson from California.

Utah's top duo of junior Adora Anae and freshman Dani Barton will open play at 5 p.m. MT on Friday as the No.9 seed. Anae and Barton will face the No.8-seeded Kamila Tan and Madi Yeomans from UCLA.

The entire team competition will be broadcast live on Pac-12 Network. The broadcast will begin Thursday, April 27 at 10 a.m. MT and continue until approx. 10 p.m. MT. None of the pairs competition will be broadcast. Brackets for both tournaments can be found attached.
