SAN FRANCISCO -Â Utah Softball placed a program record seven student-athletes on Pac-12 All-Academic Teams this afternoon.

Junior
Katie Donovan (3.81; Honors Biology) became the second Ute in program history to be named to the first team for a second time. The Ute hurler was also named to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District 8 team for a second time earlier this season.

Senior
Hannah Flippen (3.59; Psychology), Utah's first student-athlete to be named to the first team in successive seasons, earned a spot on the second team. Last season, CoSIDA named her an Academic All-American.

Bridget Castro (3.57; Communications) became the fifth Ute to earn all-academic honors for three-straight seasons as she was named to the second team for a second time.
Ally Dickman (3.76; Communications), a 2016 NFCA Scholar Athlete, was also named to the second team.

Honorable mentions went to
Heather Bowen,
Kay Kay Fronda and
Anissa Urtez. Fronda was a NFCA Scholar Athlete last season for the Utes.

Utah has had 30 All-Academic selections (19 individual student-athletes) since joining the Pac-12 in 2012.
