"Our kids are excited and ready to go. I think they are about as confident as they can be. We have a lot of kids coming off lifetime bests this year. We just want to improve. You always want your best effort to be at the end of the season or in some cases you want to have a great effort to give yourself more confidence going into the NCAA meet," head coach
Kyle Kepler said.
Â
Running events at the Pac-12 Championships are scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. PT with the men's 4x100 meter relay, while the women's relay will follow at 1:40 p.m. PT. Field events for Utah will begin at 4:20 p.m. PT with the long jump.
Â
"We are going to take a squad that we believe will be very competitive in all of the events that we enter. We have a few kids that have the opportunity to score and also place higher than they are ranked. There is still an opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Preliminary rounds. We have a few kids right on the bubble who maybe need to improve their times or marks a little bit," Kepler said.
