Group named Pacific Region Staff of the Year
LOUISVILLE - Utah Softball's coaching staff of Amy Hogue, Maggie Livreri, Cody Thomson and Russ Paskins has been recognized by the NFCA as a Division I Regional Coaching Staff of the Year.
Utah, the No. 11 national seed in the NCAA Tournament, reached the Super Regionals for a second year in a row during the 2017 season. After making the NCAA Tournament for a record third year in a row, Utah swept through the Salt Lake City Regional, the first to be held at Dumke Family Softball Stadium. The Utes finished the season ranked 14th in final USA Today/NFCA Top-25 Coaches Poll and matched a program mark with five NFCA All-Regional selections
Representing each of the NFCA's 10 Division I regions, the respective coaching staffs are now eligible for the NFCA's National Coaching Staff of the Year award, which will be announced on June 28. There were three ties this year in the South, Mid-Atlantic and Pacific (three-way).
