SALT LAKE CITY – Utah volleyball closed out the regular season in style sending their seniors out on a high note in the Huntsman Center defeating the Colorado Buffaloes in four sets (25-23, 22-25, 31-29, 25-16).

The Utes finished with an 18-13 record overall and a 10-10 record in the Pac-12. Utah ended the regular season winning three in a row and five of their last six matches.

Even though it was Senior Day, it was
Dani Drews who stayed hot and had another big match. After setting the three-set kill program record on Wednesday, she broke the four-set kill record against Colorado finishing the match with 30 kills hitting .367.

The first set was tight until Utah went on a 6-2 run to go up 21-19. That proved to be just enough breathing room for the Utes as the two teams traded points after that giving Utah a 1-0 lead after winning the first set 25-23.

After dropping a close second set, the third set was controlled by Colorado most of the way and even leading 16-12 at one point. Utah fought back and tied the score at 19. With the Buffaloes leading 22-20, the Utes dug deep and went on a 4-1 run behind two kills by Drews and two kills by
Kenzie Koerber to get a set point. In all, Utah had five set points in the third and Colorado had two set points before the Utes closed it out 31-29.

Utah hit .300 as a team and
Bailey Choy had 19 assists in the third set to help put Utah up 2-1. Koerber was also key in the Utes third-set comeback having eight kills hitting .500.

Utah got off to a great start in the fourth set and didn't slow down eventually doubling up Colorado 20-10.  They ended the match with a fourth-set 25-16 victory ending the regular season with a 9-5 record at home. Drews had nine kills with zero errors hitting .643 in the fourth set.

Choy finished with 51 assists in the four-set match. That's the fourth 50-assist match that she's had this season, but the first she has had in four sets.

In all there were three players with double-figure kills and four players with double-doubles. Koerber finished with 13 kills and 10 digs,
Megan Yett had 12 kills and 18 digs, Drews had 11 digs to go with her 30 kills and Choy had 51 assists and 12 digs.
Drews finished the week with 52 kills hitting .392 in seven sets. That's an average of 7.43 kills per set.
