Jordheim Wins Fifth-Straight Race at RMISA Championships
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – Guro Jordheim won her fifth-straight race in women's Nordic to lead the Utah ski team on the final day of the RMISA Championships/NCAA West Regional on Sunday as Utah finished fourth overall in the team standings.
Jordheim has won seven races this season, more than anyone else in any discipline in the RMISA. She has 10 podium finishes this year in 12 races this season.
Mariah Bredal finished 11
th with
Leah Lange 13th and
Karianne Moe in 14
th.
In the men's 20-km race,
Håkon Hjelstuen finished second in a sprint to the finish with Denver's Eivind Kvaale and Colorado's Alvar Alev. He has three podium finishes this year, all which have been in races of 20-km or longer.
Martin Bergström finished seventh for the Utes with
Bjørn Riksaasen in 12
th and
Logan Diekmann in 13th.
Jacob Engström finished 21
st.
The Utes were the top overall Nordic scoring team at the meet with 351 points.
In the women's giant slalom,
Ann-Kathrin Breuning earned her seventh top-five finish of the year with a fifth-place run.
Julie Mohagen finished 22
nd.
In the men's giant slalom, the Utes had a pair of skiers in the top 10 with
Linus Walch in sixth and
Sam Dupratt in seventh. It was Walch's fourth top-10 finish of the year and Dupratt's fifth.

th with
Ty Sprock 16
th and
Huston Philp 18
th.
Utah had 553 team points, finishing fourth behind meet winner Denver (710.5), Colorado (619) and Montana State (558).
The Utes return to Steamboat Springs in two weeks for the NCAA Championships, March 7-10. NCAA Championship selections will be released in the evening on Monday, Feb. 26, at NCAA.com.
