The game was tied 1-1 through five innings before Oregon took the lead with a run in the sixth inning before scoring 11 runs in the seventh and eighth innings.
Utah had eight hits, each by a different batter, including a double from Isaac Cruz while DaShawn Keirsey, Jr., increased his hitting streak to 14 games. Davis Delorefice drove in Utah's lone run on a sacrifice fly.
Josh Tedeschi pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits with two strikeouts and six walks in the loss. Trenton Stoltz, Austin Moore and Spencer Johnson also made appearances on the mound for the Utes.
Oregon took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. The Utes stranded runners on base in the first and third innings before breaking through in the fourth. Wade Gulden and Foscalina hit back-to-back one-out singles and Gulden scored on Delorefice's sacrifice fly, tying the game at 1-1.
The Ducks took advantage of a one-out walk combined with an RBI double take the lead in the sixth. Oregon scored five runs in the seventh and six in the eighth to pull ahead in the late innings.
