Six Utes Earn Pac-12 All-Academic

SAN FRANCISCO – Six University of Utah women's tennis student-athletes were named to the Pac-12 All-Academic teams today, marking the third straight season the Utes have had four or more players earn all-academic nods.
Brianna Chisholm, Jena Cheng and Alexia Petrovic headline the Pac-12 All-Academic first-team list with Whitney Turley earning second-team honors while Taylor Calton and Margo Pletcher were named to the honorable mention list. Utah is the only team in the Pac-12 to receive three first-team honors.
This is Cheng's third straight season earning first-team honors with Chisholm repeating for the second consecutive year. Petrovic earned second-team and honorable mention the last two seasons with Turley receiving her first all-academic nod.
Calton was named to the honorable mention squad as a sophomore with Pletcher earning her third straight all-academic selection. Pletcher earning second-team as a sophomore and honorable mention last season.
With Utah's three first-team selections this season, the Utes have 13 first-team honorees in program history. It is the third straight season that Utah has had three or more first-team picks.
