TEMPE – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes today with the Utah women landing three student-athletes on the distinguished list.Â
Brianna Chisholm,
Jena Cheng and
Whitney Turley were all named ITA Scholar-Athletes while the Utes were also honored as a team. To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete, a player must have at least a 3.50 GPA for the current academic year and must be at the institution for two semesters.Â
This isn't the first time that this trio has landed on the ITA Scholar-Athlete list. Chisholm has earned ITA honors for three straight seasons while Cheng and Turley are both garnering their second career awards.Â
All three athletes also earned spots on the 2018 Pac-12 All-Academic team with Cheng and Chisholm landing on the first team and Turley notching a spot on the second team.Â
With Utah also being named an ITA All-Academic Team, it marks the third straight season the Utes have earned the distinction.Â
