SALT LAKE CITY - Utah's Swim & Dive teams will be in action on Friday at 5 p.m. against UNLV
Weekend Recap
Utah Swim and Dive lost to No. 16/25 Arizona State in Pac-12 action last week. The men fell 176-122, while the women were defeated 165.5-132.5.
In the Pool
The first individual winner of the day was
Sarah Lott in the 100 back. She nearly matched her top time this season (55.02) with a swim of 55.18.
Leyre Casarin captured the 100 free in 51.75,
Audrey Reimer won the 200 back in 2:00.34 and
Charity Pittard was tops in the 200 IM with a time of 2:04.67. Lott, Casarin, Reimer and
Maddie Woznick capped the festivities with a win in the 400 free (3:26.15).
Rahiti De Vos was the top performer for the men's side, winning the 500 free in 4:34.79 and taking second in the 1000 (9:33.71). Other individual winners for Utah included
Andrew Britton in the 100 breast (56.73) and
Brody Lewis in the 200 breast (2:07.45).
On the Boards
Freshman
Lizzy DeCecco continued her strong start to the season by winning the 3m with a final score of 294.95, 34 points ahead of the second-place finisher.
In the men's 3m,
Luke McDivitt pulled out a huge win for Utah by beating Youssef Selim, the reigning Pac-12 Platform Champion and a member of Egypt's Olympic Team. This marked the first individual win of McDivitt's college career.
Last Meet vs. the Rebels
One year ago, the Utah women defeated UNLV, 147-96 and the men captured 11 events en route to an easy victory, 142-91
Audrey Reimer won the 200 back in 2:01.67, while
Emma Lawless was victorious in the 200 fly with a time of 2:02.87.
Sara McClendon endured the 1000 free and came away with another win for the Utes in 10:22.76. On the boards,
Clare Greenlow picked up another top result with a score of 259.75 in the three-meter event.
Rahiti De Vos won the 200 free in 1:41.20 and the 500 in 4:32.89. Freshman
Nick Becker took the 1000 in 9:23.73 to cap a solid showing. Other Utah winners included
Jackson Cunningham in the 400 IM (4:01.07),
On Deck
Utah's divers compete in the Trojan Diving Invitational at USC, Nov. 8-10 while the swimmers are off until the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Nov. 22-24. The next meet at Ute Natatorium is the Utah Diving Invitational, Dec. 6-7. The next home meet for the women is Jan. 17 against Washington State and Nevada. The men will be back in action the next day, competing against Denver
