SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women's tennis team is set to get back in action on Tuesday, March 5 when they host Western Michigan at the Eccles Tennis Center. The match is set to get started at 6 p.m. MT.Â

The Utes enter the match 6-2 overall this season, coming off two big wins in the Midwest this past week. Utah started off with a 4-3 win at Wisconsin and then had a neutral site matchup against Minnesota, also winning a tough 4-3 battle.
Utah won the doubles point to start things off against the Badgers, with
Emily Dush picking up Utah's first singles point on court three, edging out Anna Makarova followed by a win on court four by
Lindsay Hung to take a 3-0 advantage in the match.Â
Wisconsin quickly made it a battle, scoring three straight points with the match coming down to the No. 6 court.
Leah Heimuli was able to come away with the victory for the Utes, winning in three sets to get the 4-3 win.Â
The Utes once again started off the match against Minnesota with the doubles point while
Brianna Chisholm got things rolling on the No. 1 court in singles with a two-set victory. Maddison Tattini followed with a win of her own shortly after, giving Utah a 3-2 lead.Â
Minnesota was able to tie the score 3-3, but
Whitney Hekking came up huge on the No. 5 court, coming back to win two straight sets after losing the first to win the match for the Utes.Â
After Utah's match against Western Michigan on Tuesday, the Utes will open Pac-12 play when they host Washington State on March 8 and Washington on March 10.Â
