Last time out the Utes only sent their distance runners on the trip to Colorado to compete. Utah shined in the mile race where they finished six of their eight competitors in the top-10. Redshirt freshman Woolnough led the Utes in as she captured the event title while earning a new personal record. With Woolnough's time, she moved herself into fifth place all-time at Utah in the indoor mile. Freshman Dale and junior Tank finished in third and sixth place, respectively, with Dale also earning a new personal record. In total, seven out of the eight racers earned new personal records in the indoor mile. Â
Junior Feeny competed on Friday in the seeded mile race where she captured a second place finish and recorded the fasted mile time of the season for the Utes. Â
Utah had another impressive showing in the 800-meter race where all four competitors finished inside of the top-15. Junior Newton lead the Utes and earned a new personal record to capture a seventh-place finish. Freshman Manson finished in eighth while junior Griffiths and senior Wassum both recorded new personal-bests and finished in 11th and 13th-place, respectively.Â
Â
Sophomore Christensen was the lone Ute competing in the 5,000-meter race where she turned in a strong time to earn a fourth-place finish.Â
