FIRST PITCH
The Utes stay on the road in Pac-12 play as they travel to No. 3 Stanford for a weekend series. The Cardinal are off to a very strong start this season going 12-3 up to this point and most recently taking three out of four games against the Texas Longhorns.
This is Stanford's first Pac-12 series of the season.
The first game will be Friday, March 22 at 7 p.m. MT.
SERIES
Utah is 6-19 overall against Stanford. They won their last series against the Cardinal in 2016, the year they won the Pac-12 Championship.
100th CAREER START
In the Sunday game against Arizona,
Chandler Anderson started his 100th career game in a Ute uniform. He joins teammate
Oliver Dunn as the other Ute on the team with at least 100 starts.
Anderson has started 15 games this season in left field and has eight RBI and has had three multi-hit games this season.
DUNN ALWAYS ON BASE
Second baseman
Oliver Dunn has had a great start to the season hitting .371. He is tied for first in the Pac-12 with 12 doubles and is eighth in the conference in OB% at .494.
He leads the team scoring 20 runs and had a career day against Arizona in RBI. He had a career high six RBI in Friday night's game going 3-6 at the plate with two doubles.
Dunn has also been a warrior on the field through his career, starting in 120 of the 122 games he's seen action in.
TOM HEATS UP AT THIRD
Rykker Tom leads the team this season hitting .375 at the plate. He has reached base in all 15 games with hits in 13 of those 15 games.
He's fourth on the team in total bases with 22 and has eight RBI.
MCCLEVE IMPRESSIVE OUT OF PEN
Zac McCleve has made nine appearances out of the bullpen and currently holds a 1.64 ERA.
He has been used the most out of the pen for the Utes and has been highly effective only allowing two earned runs in those appearances.
His longest outing of the season was this past weekend against Arizona where he threw 2.2 innings and only gave up one hit while recording a career high three strikeouts.
