SALT LAKE CITY – The No. 44 Utah women's tennis program is set to take on Arizona in the 2019 Pac-12 Women's Tennis Championship on Wednesday, April 24 in Ojai, Calif. The match will start at 1 p.m. MT.
The Utes enter the match as the No. 7 seed, taking on the No. 10 seed of Arizona and with a win, would advance to the quarterfinals against No. 2-seed UCLA on Thursday. This will be the second time this season that the two teams have faced off with Arizona taking a 4-1 win in Tucson in March.

Utah enters the week ranked No. 48 in the ITA polls with new rankings coming out tomorrow. The Utes are 13-10 overall and 3-7 in Pac-12 play, defeating then ranked No. 28 Washington State, Oregon and Colorado.
The Utes have been led by a combination of veteran experience and energetic youth, starting at No. 1 singles with senior
Brianna Chisholm. The Kaysville, Utah native has racked up nine singles wins this season, also getting things done off the court by winning Pac-12 Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Chisholm has teamed up with freshman
Madison Tattini at No. 1 doubles as well, ranking No. 49 in the country with 10 wins in dual play. Tattini has been dominant on the No. 2 court in singles as a true freshman, posting 11 wins.
True freshman
Emily Dush secured the No. 3 singles court early on in the season and has been a consistent contributor for the Utes, posting 10 singles wins, including the match-winning point against Colorado on Saturday. Like Dush, freshman
Lindsay Hung has been able contribute immediately in her first year with the Utes, recording nine singles wins at the No. 4 position.
On the No. 5 court, junior
Whitney Hekking has had a breakout year with 11 singles wins, including going 3-3 in Pac-12 play. Hekking paired up with
Leah Heimuli in doubles this season, playing on the No. 2 court to post nine doubles wins.
Heimuli and true freshman
Anya Lamoreaux have both played at the No. 6 court with Heimuli racking up eight singles wins. Lamoreaux has also paired with Dush in doubles late in the season, coming away with a key win against Washington State.
