Three Utes Earn NFCA All-Region Awards

Barrera, Hilburn and Noskin honored by coaches
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Utah Softball student-athletes Alyssa Barrera, Hailey Hilburn and Julia Noskin earned all-region awards from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association this afternoon.

Barrera earned all-region honors for a second time from the NFCA after pacing Utah with a .376 batting average (13th – P12), 59 hits, 37 RBI and a .432 on-base percentage. She also finished second on the team with 30 runs scored, nine doubles and a .599 slugging percentage (15th – P12). Her seven triples topped the conference and ranked fifth nationally while also matching the school record.

She also picks up a second @NFCAorg All-Region award! Barrera paced Utah with a .376 BA, 59 hits, 37 RBI and a .432 OBP. She also finished 2nd with 30 runs scored, 9 2Bs and a .599 SLG %. Her 7 3Bs matched a Utah school record!#GoUtes ???? pic.twitter.com/w9YQAJqAnw

Hilburn also notched her second award from the NFCA after being named last season. She pulled double duty for the Utes this season, leading the team in strikeouts as a pitcher and as a hitter, tying for the team lead with eight home runs and finishing second with 30 runs driven in. Barrera and Hilburn become the 12th and 13th Utah softball player in program history to earn multiple honors from the NFCA

Noskin picked up her first NFCA honor after leading Utah with 36 runs scored and nine stolen bases She was second on the team with 54 hits and ranked third in batting (.318). Noskin also paced the Pac-12 with 126 fielding assists and her prowess in the field helped Utah turn a league best 28 double plays.
