SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women's tennis program finished the season ranked in the top-50 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's final poll, coming in at No. 44.
The last time the Utes were ranked in the final ITA poll was in 2016 and the last time the Utes landed in the top-50 to end the season was in 2014 when Utah also ranked No. 44. The Utes finished the season 13-11 overall and 3-7 in Pac-12 play, ranking as high as No. 38 nationally in March.
Utah also had a doubles duo ranked in the final poll with
Brianna Chisholm and
Madison Tattini ranking No. 51 nationally. The Utes have had a doubles team ranked in the final poll in seven of the last eight seasons, including a program-high No. 36 final doubles ranking during that time span.
Tattini and Chisholm wrapped up a successful season with a 10-5 overall dual record, including going 4-1 in conference play and 3-2 against ranked opponents. The No. 1 and No. 2 singles players for the Utes were a dominant pair in doubles and singles play with Chisholm earning Pac-12 All-Conference honorable mention and Tattini being named the ITA Mountain Region Rookie of the Year.
Among Chisholm and Tattini's doubles wins were defeating the then ranked No. 71 team out of Washington State, the No. 43 team out of Washington and the No. 65 team out of Loyola Marymount.
