PORTLAND, Ore. – The University of Utah competed in their second "last chance" meet on Friday competing at the Portland Twilight where six Utah runners earned and posted new personal-records that moved them into the Utah all-time top-10 lists. 
 
Sophomore 
Jackie Martin and freshman 
Maya LeBar highlighted the meet for the Utes as Martin captured the event title while LeBar crossed right behind her earning the second-place finish. Martin finished the race in a new PR time of 24.71 and LeBar also finished in a new PR time of 24.74. Both of these times moved Martin and Lebar into fourth and fifth-place all-time at Utah. 
 
LeBar also competed in the 400-meter race alongside freshman 
Skyler Blair who competed in her first 400-meter race this season and her college career. Blair finished in second-place with a time of 55.27 while LeBar ran just off her PR pace to finish in fourth-place posting a time of 56.75. Blair's time moved her into sixth-place all-time. 
 
In the 800-meter race, junior 
Sarah Newton posted a new PR time of 2:05.88 to secure a sixth-place finish and move herself from fifth to fourth-place all-time. Freshman 
Brooklyn James also recorded a new PR time of 2:08.57 to capture a ninth-place finish. This time moves James into 10th-place all-time at Utah. Sophomore 
Whitney Hessler rounded out the competitors for Utah as she crossed in 14th-place with a time of 2:09.79. 
 
Freshmen 
Cara Woolnough and 
Scarlet Dale led the Utes in the 1,500-meter race as they finished in fifth and sixth-place, respectively. Woolnough finished in a new PR time of 4:24.89 and keeps her place eighth all-time at Utah. Dale also crossed with a new PR time of 4:25.31, topping her previous record by three seconds, and moved herself into ninth all-time at Utah. Freshman 
Sophie Ryan also competed finishing in 10th-place with a time of 4:28.78, just missing her PR time of 4:28.73. 
 
The Utes will be back in action today as senior transfer 
Kolbi Sims will be representing Utah at the Pac-12 Multi-Events Championships taking place in Tucson, Ariz. Blair will be competing in four events at Day 1 of the championships and is slated to begin at 5:00 pm (MST) with the 100-meter hurdles.
