SAN FRANCISCO – University of Utah women's tennis senior
Brianna Chisholm earned Pac-12 All-Conference honors today, landing on the honorable mention squad.
Chisholm is Utah's eighth all-conference selection with
Alexia Petrovic (2018),
Margo Pletcher (2017), Tereza Bekerova (2013, 2014, 2015), Sarah Pham (2013) and Anastasia Putlina (2012) also earning honorable mention status during their careers. This is Chisholm's first all-conference honor of her career.
Chisholm was integral in Utah's 13 dual wins this season, helping the Utes to a top-50 national ranking. She finished the season with nine singles wins and 10 doubles wins, both at the No. 1 positions.
She kicked off the Pac-12 season with a bang, beating No. 69 Stacey Fung of Washington for her first ranked win of the year. She was also key in helping the Utes to a win over Oregon with a two-set victory over Daniella Nasser.
Chisholm's second ranked win of the year came against top-25 ranked California, beating No. 33 Julia Rosenqvist.
In doubles, Chisholm and
Madison Tattini rose in the rankings throughout the season, sitting at No. 49 in the latest polls. The duo put together some top-notch victories this year, including wins over the No. 71 team out of Washington State, the No. 43 team out of Washington and the No. 65 team from Loyola Marymount.
Off the court, Chisholm has continued her winning ways in the classroom, earning this year's Pac-12 Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
