The offensive line did not give up a sack for the second week in a row. It marks the first time since 2015 the Utes have not allowed a sack over a stretch of two or more games. Tyler Huntley threw for 214 yards (14-of-19, 0 INT, 1 TD), his 12th career 200-yard passing game which is ranked ninth all-time at Utah.
He now has 4,579 career passing yards, moving him into 10th all-time at Utah, passing Don Van Galder (1971-73; 4,402).
Huntley's 14 completions give him 381 for his career to move into a tie for seventh all-time by a Ute with Jordan Wynn (2009-12).
Huntley scored his 12th career rushing touchdown in the second quarter and his first of the season (16-yard TD). He finished the game with three carries for 38 yards (12.7 ypc).
Zack Moss finished the game with 18 carries for 80 yards and two touchdowns.
His two rushing touchdowns bring his career total to 26, tying him for second all-time with Eddie Johnson (1984-88).
Moss now has 2,918 career rushing yards, 77 behind second-place Tony Lindsay (2,995; 1977-80) and 301 away from school record-holder Eddie Johnson (1984-88).
Demari Simpkins scored his first career rushing touchdown in the second quarter (13 yards). He has five career touchdowns, including four receiving scores. He finished the game with two rushes for 19 yards (1 TD) and two catches for 22 yards.
Bryan Thompson had a career-high 66 receiving yards (two catches), including a career-long 38-yard catch.
Julian Blackmon had an interception for the second consecutive week, his seventh career interception. He has 24 career passes defended. Blackmon tied his career high with eight tackles (vs. Arizona State, 2017).
Bradlee Anae had a career-high three sacks for the Utes, to bring his career total to 20 and tied for eighth all-time at Utah with Steve Clark (1978-81) and Trevor Reilly (2009-13).
The last time a Ute had three sacks was Nov. 10, 2016 at Arizona State (5, Hunter Dimick; 3, Pita Taumoepenu). Anae also forced a fumble for the Utes in the game, the sixth of his career.
Devin Lloyd recorded career-high tackles for the second-straight week with 10.
Francis Bernard led Utah with 12 tackles, his best game since transferring to Utah.
All four of Ben Lennon's punts were downed inside the 20-yard line (12, 9, 16, 19-yard lines). Five of his six career punts have been inside the 20-yard line. He had a career-long 62-yard punt in the fourth quarter.
