Utah capped its day of racing in Texas with the 400m race where Oneillia Fuller and Jasie York represented the Utes. Fuller crossed the finish line in 56.67, just beating her previous PR (56.69) by two-tenths of a second to place 23rd. York captured second in her heat, which was good for 28th-place (57.43).Â
In Seattle, Emma Christensen kicked things off recording a new PR in the 5k race and finished with a mark of 17:56.57, topping her previous by 15 seconds. Â Â
"In the 600m they were able to record a couple of all-time top-10 times and I'm really excited about for those gals. We know we have a great middle distance crew and they ran really well. I also thought the 400m crew ran well, especially Jasie, competing in a really good field," heach coach Kyle Kepler said.Â
The Utes will cap off the weekend tomorrow with a full day of racing at both the Texas Tech and UW Invites. Running events at Texas Tech will begin at 11 a.m. (MT) while the UW events are slated to begin at 11:20 a.m. (MT).Â
