First Serve
Utah beach volleyball is heading back to California for their second week of competition. This time they'll be playing some Pac-12 opponents in Los Angeles. First, they'll take on Oregon and Arizona State on Saturday, March 7 followed by Washington and USC on Sunday, March 8.
Then, they'll play at Long Beach State that following Tuesday, March 10 at 10 a.m. MT and then take on CSUN at 1 p.m. later that day.
Tough Competition
Utah played three ranked teams in Cal, Stanford and Hawaii on their opening weekend. The Utes fought hard, but came up short in all three of those matches.
They also played UC Davis and dropped that match 3-2. Lauren Sproule/Jessica Villela and Kinga Windisch/ Sommer Daniel each won their matches against the Aggies in three sets.
Switching Up the Lineup
After going 1-1 on the first day, Sproule and Villela got moved up to the number one pair on the second day.
Madelyn Robinson also played in the second pair with Tiyana Hallums and Mckenna Granato played in the third pair with Keana Smalls.
Up Next
The Utes will have a small break before spending a weekend in Tucson, Arizona. They will play Arizona Christian, Arizona, CSUN and Pacific beginning on Friday, March 20.
