Beach Volleyball Drops Duals to Washington and No. 5 USC

Utes Back on the Court Tuesday
Santa Monica, Calif. – Utah beach volleyball finished its play in the Pac-12 South tournament in Santa Monica, California on Sunday afternoon.
They took on Washington first and then a stout USC squad ranked fifth in the country.
Sommer Daniel and Kinga Windisch earned a win for the Utes against the Huskies in a third set. They won the first set 22-20 and then after losing the second set earned the win with a 15-6 victory in the third.
Leah Schmidt and Keana Smalls pushed it to a third set after a 21-17 win in the second, but then dropped the third 21-19.
Washington ended up getting the win 4-1 over Utah.
In the second match of the day, No. 5 USC took care of business winning all five of the matches.
Utah will be back on the court this Tuesday for two matches against Long Beach State and Irvine Valley College.
