SALT LAKE CITY -Â The Utah women's tennis team landed a program-record six student-athletes on the ITA Scholar-Athlete team for the 2019-20 academic year, topping the previous mark of five Utes set a year ago. In addition to the six scholar-athlete selections, Utah also earned an ITA All-Academic Team award for the fifth year in a row.
The Utes posted a cumulative GPA of 3.631 for the 2019-20 academic year, highlighted by a school-record semester GPA of 3.894 in the spring. To be recognized for the ITA All-Academic Team award, the team must have a GPA of 3.20 or above for the academic year.

Katya Hersh were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes. Student-Athletes on the ITA Scholar-Athlete team are required to have a GPA of 3.50 or above for the 2019-20 academic year and must be on the institutional eligibility form.
This year's selection marks Hekking's fourth-consecutive selection as a scholar-athlete, while Hung, Lamoreaux and Tattini became two-time honorees. McKay and Hersh earned a spot on the ITA all-academic team for the first time.
Hekking, Tattini, Hung and Lamoreaux were all starters for the Utah women's tennis team this past spring. Hekking, the 2020 ITA Mountain Region's Most Improved Senior, and Tattini held down the No. 1 doubles position where they finished the season ranked No. 12 in the nation with a 12-1 overall record. Tattini competed as the top singles player all season for Utah, while Hekking primarily played at the No. 3 spot.Â
Lamoreaux started every match at the No. 2 singles and doubles positions, making an immediate impact in her first season in Salt Lake City. Hung played at the No. 3 doubles spot and was a starter between the No. 4 and No. 5 singles positions during her sophomore campaign. Hersh saw action in five dual matches where she picked up two singles wins and three doubles victories.
