Laukli and McCabe log Top-10 Finishes at World Cup's Tour de Ski Final Stage

Pair of Utes record best American finishes in 10 km final climb mass start freestyle
VAL DI FIEMME, Italy – Utah Nordic skiers Sophia Laukli and Novie McCabe each posted top-10 finishes on Tuesday competing at the Tour de Ski as part of the FIS World Cup schedule. Racing in the final stage of the Tour in the 10 km mass start freestyle, Laukli turned in a fifth-place effort and McCabe tabbed seventh.
Laukli and McCabe's finishes in this stage were the top two performances by Americans against the world's top skiers. For the entire six-stage Tour, Laukli and McCabe finished Nos. 23 and 24 in the standings, respectively.

The Tour de Ski began on Dec. 28, 2021 and continued through today with stops in Lenzerheide, Switzerland (Dec. 28-29), Oberstdorf, Germany (Dec. 31-Jan. 1) prior to the last two days in Val di Fiemme.
