SALT LAKE CITY – After what was a historic and record-breaking 2021 season for the University of Utah Football team, the Utes are officially looking toward 2022 with the season ticket renewal process beginning today.
With the department's priority to continue the upward trajectory of Utah Athletics in the Pac-12 and in the nation, along with continuing its commitment to invest in the best student-athlete experience possible and to retain and recruit the best coaches and staff, ticket prices will increase for most sections of Rice-Eccles Stadium in 2022.
The Utes have had one of the best home field advantages in the country in Rice-Eccles Stadium, winning 19 of their last 20 home games which most recently includes undefeated home seasons in 2019 (7-0) and 2021 (6-0). Heading into the 2022 season, head coach Kyle Whittingham will be in his 18th season at the helm, making him the longest-tenured coach in the Pac-12 as Utah's all-time winningest coach in program history (144-70).
The Utes have finished with a winning record in 15 of his 17 years as head coach, including in eight straight. Utah has won at least a share of the Pac-12 South title four times, with the program winning the Pac-12 Championship game in 2021.
In 2022, the Utes will have another full 12-game slate with six home games in Rice-Eccles Stadium. With the new pricing structure, the majority of seat ticket prices will only increase between $10-12 per game while 8.7% of seats will actually decrease in cost with a fan-friendly $350 base season ticket option available among 15 different pricing options.
