Utes in the Pros: Week 15

SALT LAKE CITY – Week 15 of the NFL regular season means the arrival of Saturday football, and both games on Saturday will feature connections to Utah. All told, 10 games throughout Week 15 will include 16 Pro Utes on active rosters.
The Indianapolis trio of Julian Blackmon, Matt Gay and Zack Moss will look to stay in a tight race for the AFC South, trailing Jacksonville by just a game—the Colts host Pittsburgh in Saturday's early window. Then on Saturday night, Garett Bolles and the Broncos will be in Detroit for a meeting with the NFC North-leading Lions.
All three timeslots on Sunday will feature former Utes, including Sunday Night Football between the Ravens and Jaguars. Philadelphia heads to the Pacific Northwest for Monday Night Football with return specialist Britain Covey for a meeting with Seattle.
Baltimore, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Philadelphia and San Francisco are all either atop their divisions or in a tie for the lead, boasting a Utah connection on the field or the sideline. The 49ers also clinched a playoff spot last week with their win over Seattle, plus a Green Bay loss.
How to watch the Utes this week
Week 15 (players on active rosters)
The total number of Pro Utes increased to 25 this week with defensive tackle John Penisini signing to the New Orleans Saints' practice squad. Penisini was a two-time Pac-12 All-Conference pick at Utah (2018, '19) and spent 2020-21 with Detroit, before a brief stint with Carolina earlier in 2023.
In the coaching world, Brian Johnson continues to direct the offense of the Philadelphia Eagles, who are in a tie for the NFL's best record at 10-3. Defensive quality control coach Alex Whittingham and the Kansas City Chiefs also are atop the AFC West (8-5).
