Utes sit at No. 17 in two polls, ranked 21st in NFCA Top 25
SALT LAKE CITY – After a week in which the Utes scored their first-ever sweep of the Oregon Ducks, coach Amy Hogue's squad moved up in all four national polls, reaching as high as No. 15 when the rankings all became official on Tuesday.
The Softball America poll is where the Utes gained the highest placement, grabbing 15th to match their highest ranking in any top 25 publication in 2023. Utah moved up two spots in the D1Softball.com Top 25 and climbed three spots in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll, snagging 17th in both. The USA Today/NFCA rankings moved Utah from No. 24 to No. 21, as high as they've reached in those standings during the current campaign.
The Utes will try and continue improving their national ranking when they head to the Pac-12 Tournament, which will put them on the field for the first time on Thursday for a 10 a.m. MST (11 a.m. MT) matchup against the California Golden Bears.
