SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah Football program will be well represented at this year's all-star bowls with four former Utes participating in the East-West Shrine Bowl on Thursday, Feb. 1 and the Reese's Senior Bowl on Saturday, Feb. 3.

Jonah Elliss has been in Frisco, Texas, this past week participating in East-West Shrine Bowl festivities while he continues to recover from his season-ending injury during the 2023 season. In Mobile, Ala., practices begin for the Reese's Senior Bowl on Tuesday, Jan. 30 with safeties

Elliss played in 35 career games at Utah with 18 starts, earning consensus All-America in 2023. He was a finalist for the Lombardi Award, the Ted Hendricks Award, the Lott IMPACT Trophy and the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year last season after racking up 37 tackles (16.0 TFL, 12.0 sacks) in just 10 games in 2023.
Bishop wrapped up his career as a Ute with 35 games and 29 starts as a three-time All-Pac-12 selection, also earning All-America in 2023 by College Football Network. He led the secondary last season with 60 total tackles (6.5 TFL, 3.0 sacks) with his 9.5 third-down stops tying for most on the team.
A mainstay for the Utes on the offensive line, Laumea played in 45 career games at Utah with 44 consecutive starts (19 at RG, 25 at RT). He was a four-time Pac-12 All-Conference selection, earning first-team in 2022.
Vaki became a standout two-way player for the Utes in 2023, starting at safety while showing his explosiveness at running back in select packages. The Antioch, Calif., native saw action in 26 career games with 17 starts at safety, earning first-team All-Pac-12 in 2023 as a safety and an all-purpose player with 51 tackles (8.5 TFL, 2.0 sacks), 317 rushing yards (2 TD) and 203 receiving yards (3 TD).
