REWIND WITH THE BULLDOGS
The last time Utah and Mississippi State battled it out on the court, the Bulldogs got the best of Utah in a defensive heavy game 52-49 to claim the Ft. Myers Tip-Off Championship. Both squads managed to record just 17 field-goals apiece with Utah shooting .327 from the field to MSU's .254 shooting clip.
Gabe Madsen (8pts) and Mississippi State's Cameron Matthews (5pts) are the only two players remaining on either team that played in that game.
WIRE-TO-WIRE
Through three games so far this season, the Runnin' Utes have never trailed against their opponent and just 1-of-3 Power 4 teams to do so – coincidentally all three teams hail from the Big 12. Through games on Nov. 13, Utah, Arizona and BYU are the only teams in the Power 4 ranks to not trail this season with the Utes and Cougars having played three games so far with the Wildcats having played two.
FOR THE STEAL
Utah opened the 2024-25 season recording 10-plus steals in back-to-back games for the first time since the 2020-21 season.
