SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah men's basketball team closes out its three-game homestand with Queens next Tuesday, Nov. 12, for its Military Appreciation Game inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center at 7 p.m. (MT). All service members with a valid military ID receive a free GA ticket to the game and can be redeemed at the Utah Ticket Offices during business hours as well as on game day.
Chris Sylvester will guide fans through the action alongside former Runnin' Utes assistant coach Joe Cravens as the Utes and Royals battle it out for the first time in program history.
LEAVING THEIR MARK
The 2024-25 edition of the Runnin' Utes are leaving their mark in the record books early and often. Utah first broke the single-game record for 3-pointers made in its season-opener with 19 triples. It then tied that mark once again against Central Arkansas in the second game of the year while also breaking the single-game record for 3-point attempts with 50.
MAKE IT RAIN ON THEM…
Utah has been lethal from the 3-point line so far this season, draining a total of 38 threes – 19 each game. The 38 made 3-pointers is most by any time in the NCAA through games on Nov. 8 while its 19.0 per game is good for second in the NCAA through games on Nov. 8 behind Dartmouth (20.0 per game) – who has only played one game.
2-FOR-1 SPECIAL
Not only do teams have to prepare for
Gabe Madsen this year, they'll also have to prepare for his twin –
Mason Madsen. The twins have been deadly for the Utes so far, with Gabe drilling 12 threes on the year while Mason has knocked down 10.
MADSEN FOR THREEEEEEEEEEEE
Through games on Nov. 8,
Gabe Madsen's 12 triples so far this year is tied for tops in the country.
