SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah men's basketball team looks to get back on the win column this Saturday, Dec. 14, when it plays host to the Radford Highlanders inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center if the fifth game of its six-game homestand.

NON-CON ACTION
The Utes have had a successful non-conference slate under head coach
Craig Smith, going 30-11 during his tenure – including a 6-2 mark this season. The Utes have an opportunity to tie the 2023-24 campaign for the most wins during the non-conference portion of the schedule with three games remaining in Radford (Dec. 14), Florida A&M (Dec. 17) and Iowa (Dec. 21).

Gabe Madsen has been on a tear this season, averaging 21.8 points for the Utes. However, his twin brother, Mason has been a great spark for the Utes off the bench as well, averaging 11.0 points of his own. Through 8 games for Utah, the Madsen twins have accounted for 37.6-percent of the scoring offense for Utah.

The two have also accounted for 58 of the 92 made 3-pointers for Utah this season – which is 63-percent of the team's total. Gabe has drained 34 while Mason and knocked down 24 triples. The next closest player on the team is
Miro Little – who has nine made 3-pointers.

DOUBLE IT UP
Caleb Lohner made his Runnin' Utes appearance on Saturday, Dec. 7, vs. St. Mary's and is believed to be the only dual-sport athlete in the NCAA this season to play football and men's basketball. The Flower Mound, Texas, product scored 8 points with 55 rebounds on 4-of-9 shooting in his debut off the bench for Utah.

Lohner finished his lone football season at Utah with 4 touchdowns on 4 receptions for 54 total yards in 12 games. He also recorded a solo tackle and blocked field-goal.
