Utes in the Pros: Week 16

SALT LAKE CITY – A busy stretch across the NFL kicks off Thursday night as nine of the next 12 days will feature at least one game.

For Week 16, there are 28 Utah Football alumni representing as Pro Utes with 19 players on active rosters. The Denver quad of former Utes including Cody Barton, Garett Bolles, Jonah Elliss and Devaughn Vele are in action tonight with a Prime Video matchup against the LA Chargers.

With Cole Bishop and Dalton Kincaid on the roster, the Bills clinched the AFC East and host New England on Sunday. A matchup with AFC North implications features Marcus Williams with Baltimore, as the Ravens host Pittsburgh looking to pull into a tie for the division lead.

In the NFC, both Philadelphia and Detroit have punched their playoff tickets with a total of three Pro Utes on those clubs—Britain Covey with the Eagles, and the duo of Tim Patrick and Sione Vaki pacing the Lions.

Two more Utah alumni are in playoff contention via the sidelines. Kansas City clinched the AFC West with Alex Whittingham on the staff as defensive quality control coach. If the season ended today, Washington would make the playoffs with Brian Johnson guiding the Commanders as assistant head coach and offensive pass game coordinator.
