With 190 days to go until the 2024 season officially kicks off, the Utah Football program is continuing to prepare for spring ball with practices starting in less than a month.
Utah's offense will be refreshed and re-energized in 2024 as they return new and veteran weapons all over the field – bringing back the tradition of "Tight End U" and "O-Block" for another year.
As spring ball draws closer, UtahUtes.com will breakdown the spring roster, position-by-position, continuing with the tight ends and offensive line.

RETURNING UTES
One of the most dangerous weapons for the Utes will return to the gridiron this year with senior Brant Kuithe making his comeback from injury. He is a three-time All-Pac-12 selection with 51 career games and 26 starts, entering the year leading all active tight ends with 1,882 receiving yards and 142 receptions.
Joining Kuithe will be Landen King and Miki Suguturaga, who both shined for the Utes in their tight end debuts in 2023. King, a talented and versatile tight end, recorded 14 catches for 166 yards (2 TD) while Suguturaga made the switch from defensive end to tight end, earning nine starts in his first season at the new position.
The offensive line continues to find depth and talent in the room, returning five players that started in games last season. All-Pac-12 right guard Michael Mokofisi will anchor the group with 30 games and 26 starts under his belt with freshman All-American Spencer Fano returning for his sophomore campaign in 2024.
Center Kolinu'u Faaiu also cemented himself as Utah's starting center last season, earning the starting nod in the last eight games. The Utes also saw Jaren Kump and Tanoa Togiai earn starts at left tackle, left guard and center in 2023 with Kump having 35 career games with 17 starts to his name (7 at RT, 5 at C, 3 at LT, 1 at RG, 1 at LG).
NEWCOMER NOTES
The depth that both positions added in the offseason will look to make an immediate impact for the Utes in the spring and the fall – highlighted by tight end Carsen Ryan and offensive lineman Isaiah Garcia.
Garcia, a 6-5, 290-pound offensive lineman from Magna, Utah, will join the Utes this spring out of Corner Canyon High School. The four-star recruit ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the state of Utah on 247Sports and the No. 20 offensive tackle in the country, earning All-State first-team as the highest graded offensive linemen in the state.
Ryan comes to Utah after playing in 17 games at UCLA from 2022-23 with eight starts, recording 13 catches for 205 yards and three touchdowns in 2023. He was a four-star recruit out of American Fork High School, ranking as the No. 3 tight end nationally by ESPN after earning All-State first-team honors.
