Nelsen drives in three runs
Utah's 2024 record is now 14-10 and 0-4 on league play, while the Ducks are 15-9 and 3-1.
The Ducks were the first team on the scoreboard, putting together a two-out rally in the top of the first that put them up 4-0. The Utes responded in their half of the first when Abby Dayton singled and came all the way around to score on a double by Nelsen.
Unfortunately for the home team, Oregon continued padding its lead, scoring multiple runs in the second, fourth and fifth frames.
Nelsen picked up her second RBI of the day in the third on a sacrifice fly, then drove in another run in the bottom of the fifth.
Up Next
Utah and Oregon will clash again on Saturday, with the first pitch being thrown at 12 p.m.
