ATLANTA, Ga. — The No. 9 Utah Golf team is in a tight battle with some of the best teams in the country through day two of the Golf Club of Georgia Invitational.
The Utes finished with a score of 3-over (579) through two days of play , coming in 11
th place after going an even 288 the day before.
Gabriel Palacios and
Sergio Jimenez sit as Utah's highest performers inside the top 20 tied at 13 with a two-day score of 3-under (141).
Jimenez had the best single-score of the day for the Utes, posting a 4-under (68) to jump up 26 spots from the day before, while Palacios logged a 1-under (71) to move up two spots in the tournament rankings.
Seniors
Brandon Robison and
Davis Johnson wrapped up their day at 3-over (74) and 6-over (78) respectively, while freshman
Kade McDonough came in 13-over (78).
The Utes will need to dig deep in the final day of the Golf Club of Georgia Invitational on Sunday, Oct. 26 to secure one of the coveted top spots heading into their winter break.
