SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah track & field team got a taste of the indoor season on Thursday as it wrapped up the final day of competition at the BYU December Invite to close out the 2025 calendar year.

In the 60m prelims, Utah had 4-of-5 sprinters advance to the finals led by sophomore
Chelsea Amoah – who finished third-overall with a time of 7.44 (aa) to improve her hold on the No. 3 spot all-time.

Meanwhile, freshmen
Haley Duvall and
Kinzlee Riddle saw themselves tied at the No. 5 spot all-time with
Matejah Mangum after posting a run of 7.56 (aa) for fifth and sixth, respectively, as they made their collegiate debuts. Mangum wrapped up the quartet of Utes in the 60m finals with a run of 7.62 while
Susmitha Jayanthi made her debut in the prelims with a time of 7.91 (aa).

In the 60m hurdles,
Lela Divinity advanced to the finals with a run of 8.94 (aa) before placing ninth-overall with a mark of 8.98 (aa).

Morgan Carter placed second-overall in her collegiate debut after sitting out last season due to injury and posted a time of 1:23.20. Freshman
Kait Durham also made her collegiate debut, running 1:26.66.

Sona Kourilova won the 1000m run for Utah, crossing the finish line at 2:58.31 followed by
Allie Bruce at 3:00.01 for second.

Earlier on Wednesday,
Glo Hussey had a great showing for Utah in the Pentathlon – finishing fourth-overall with a PR points total of 3,537 to move up one spot on the all-time list to No. 8. The Phoenix, Ariz., native opened up with a third-place finish in the 60m hurdles with a run of 9.15 (aa) and eighth-place finish in the 800m run.

Utah's 4x400m relay team consisting of Amoah, Duvall, Riddle and Mangum put a bow on the day, claiming first with a run of 3:44.16 (aa).

However, she made up the points in both the high jump and long jump. Hussey tied for first in the high jump with a PR mark of 6-7.75 (1.72m) and moved into a tie for 10th on the all-time list before placing second in the long jump with yet another PR – this time for 19-5.75 (5.93m) to vault herself into fifth all-time at Utah. Hussey closed things off with a fourth-place finish in the shot put after tossing 31-0.75 (9.46m).

Shana Van Elderen also competed on Wednesday, recording a day's best leap of 17-1 (5.2m) for fifth-overall.
