SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah track & field team saw a pair of freshmen shine on Friday inside the ICCU Dome as it completed its first indoor track meet of the 2026 calendar year at the Snake River Open.

The 60m hurdles crew got Utah going on Friday with
Lela Divinity advancing to the finals with a PR mark of 8.87 (aa) – which was also good to make her 10th on the all-time list. María Alvavarado made her debut as a Ute with a run of 9.06 (aa) – which was also good for a new personal best while
Glo Hussey recorded a time of 9.44 (aa). Divinity would finish sixth in the finals after posting a time of 9.34 (aa).

Freshman
Haley Duvall got the ball rolling in the 60m dash, advancing to the finals with a 7.64 (aa) before winning the event with a PR run of 7.51 (aa) and saw herself move into No. 4 on the all-time list at Utah. Meanwhile, fellow freshman
Susmitha Jayanthi narrowly best her previous PR with a time of 7.90 (aa).

Mackenzie Rogers had a great debut as a Ute after sitting out the cross country season, taking second in the mile with a time of 4:50.51 (aa) while
Josie Fale placed third with a PR run of 4:50.81 (aa).
Cloe Ruth made her indoor debut finishing eighth-overall after crossing the finish line at 5:00.09 (aa).

Morgan Carter nearly missed out on a top-3 finish, placing fourth-overall in the 400m dash with a mark of 57.20 (aa).
Chelsea Amoah (58.61 aa) and Kaitlyn Durham (58.75 aa) finished back-to-back for 10th and 11th-place, respectively.

Allie Bruce notched a new personal best in the 800m run almost to the year at the same meet, posting a time of 2:15.81 (aa) for sixth while
Sona Kourilova was right behind her at 2:16.67 (aa).

The Women of Utah swept the podium in the 200m dash led by freshman
Kinzlee Riddle's winning run of 24.50 (aa) followed by Duvall (24.58 aa) in second and
Matejah Mangum in fourth (25.04 aa). Riddle's mark was good for sixth on the all-time list at Utah while Duvall's mark was good for eighth all-time.

Rachel Bair, who ran unattached, took third with what would've been a new PR as a Ute at 24.80 (aa). Janyathi rounded things out with her first 200m run of 26.86 (aa).

Over on the vertical and horizontal jumps, Hussey took third in the high jump with a leap of 1.63m (5-4.25) and just missed out on another top-3 finish after posting a distance of 5.51m (18-0.25) in the long jump.

Utah's freshmen 4x400m relay crew consisting of Riddle, Duvall, Durham and Carter put the bow on the evening by winning the race with a time of 3:48.56 (aa). Utah's other 4x400m relay squad of Divinity, Alvarado, Amoah and Mangum took fifth with a run of 3:57.61.
