SALT LAKE CITY— Standout senior
Grace McCallum has earned the WCGA Region 2 Gymnast of the Year award while Senior Associate Athletics Director for Academic Services and Sport Supervisor to the Red Rocks
Cathy Badger was named Administrator of the Year.
Wednesday's awards announcements are just the latest in
a growing list of accolades for the 2025 Utah Gymnastics team who is
preparing to make their 49th consecutive trip the NCAA National Championships in Fort Worth, Texas next weekend.
McCallum has made her last season as a Red Rock count, having already earned three Big 12 weekly awards during the regular season, crowned the Big 12's Vault and All-Around Champion, named the
Big 12's Gymnast of the Year,
sweeping every All-Big 12 teams categories, earning
WCGA Regular Season All-America honors, and earning the title of NCAA Regional Bars Champion for 2025. Additionally,
McCallum is currently one of six finalists for the prestigious AAI Award given annually to the top senior gymnast in the country.
At the end of the regular season, McCallum is tied No. 2 in the country on bars, tied No. 4 on beam, and ranks No. 9 in the all-around.
McCallum has earned four perfect 10s in 2025 (three on bars and one on beam) tying her for fourth in Utah history for 10s in a single season, and she currently sits on eight total 10s in her career (2022-25) placing her fifth in school history for 10s in a career.
Utah's senior star boasts 77 career wins, 30 of which have come in 2025 alone, and has hit 187-197 career routines.
On the administrative side, Badger has made her presence known in just her first season working with the Red Rocks as their Sport Supervisor.
Not only has No. 4 Utah Gymnastics maintained their high-standard of performance on the competition floor this year, earning the Regular Season and Big 12 Championships outright, they have also reached their 49
th appearance at Nationals, and remained ranked in the Top 5 the entire 2025 season while continuing their strong tradition in the classroom under Badger's watch.
The Red Rocks currently boast their
13th straight year with a 100% GSR to close out fall of 2024 and their
59th straight semester with a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
