TUCSON, Ariz. – The Utah track & field contingent down at the Desert Heat Classic closed out the regular-season with a bang with the 4x100m relay team breaking the school record at Drachman Stadium.
Â
The 4x100m relay team of
Megan Rose,
Emily Martin,
Bailey Kealamakia and
Chelsea Amoah started the day with an exclamation point as the quartet combined to run 44.02 en route to breaking their previous school record of 44.56 (aa).
Martin then went out and posted a top-10 finish in the 400m dash behind a new PR mark of 52.87 to improve her hold on the third-fastest time at Utah.
Â
In the 100m dash, Amoah ran what would've been a new PR and the second-fastest time in program history but her run of 11.62 (11.613) was unfortunately wind-aided (+2.7).
Â
Amoah would close out the evening for Utah in Tucson, posting the second-fastest 200m dash in school history thanks to a PR time of 23.29 for fifth-overall.
