Utah will take a total of 21 to Lawrence while eight athletes will be competing at the conference championships for the first time as a Ute this weekend in

Anna Peters. Amoah, Ayers and Divinity are freshmen while Chaston and Kourilova are transfers. Caesar and Peters both redshirted last season. In addition,
Katarzyna Nowakowska will be making her season debut after sitting out with an injury as of late. Â

ERIKSEN, DENIS WRAP UP WORLD RELAYS
Former All-American
Josefine Eriksen and Norway earned an automatic spot at the 2025 World Championships (Sept. 13-21) in the opening round of this past weekend's World Athletic Relays in Guangzhou, China. Despite finishing third in the first round of the 4x400m relay, Norway qualified for world championships with the top mark based on time with a season-best run of 3:26.61. They would go one and finish fourth-overall in the finals on Sunday with a Norwegian National Record time of 3:25.35

In the 4x100m relay, Dinedye Denis and Côte d'Ivoire wasn't able to qualify for world championships over the weekend. The Ivoirians had a season-best run of 44.85 in the first round and didn't run a qualifying time in the second round on Sunday.

MARTIN HEADED TO JUNIOR PAN AM GAMES
Utah junior
Emily Martin will once again compete for her native country and be the first group of Canadians to ever represent Canada at the Junior Pan American Games in the sport of track and field – which is set to take place August 9-23 in Asunción, Paraguay.
Â
Over 4000 athletes from 41 different countries will be represented in just the second edition of the event. The first edition was held in 2021 in Cali, Colombia.

Martin is slated to run for Canada in the 200m dash and is just 1-of-4 sprinters that earned a spot on the historic roster for Canada. All track and field events will be held at the Olympic Park, located in Luque – which is just outside of Asunción.
