Utah Volleyball Starts 2025 Ranked in the AVCA Top-25

The Utes pick up where they left off in 2024
SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Volleyball will start its 2025 campaign ranked No. 23 in the AVCA Top-25 after learning earlier Wednesday morning they had been voted No. 4 in the Big 12 Conference Preseason Poll.
Utah's 2025 starting AVCA rank picks up where they left off last season.
"I think any ranking is the reflection of respect for a program," said Utah Volleyball head coach Beth Launiere. "I think it is especially true this year because we did graduate so many players last year, but I think people are aware of the amount of talent we do have coming back. Always more important where you finish than where you start, but it is nice to get the recognition from your peers."
The Utes had a very successful first year in the Big 12, going 25-6 overall and 14-4 in conference, earning a third-place finish in their new home, and their 19th appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
Additionally, Utah placed five athletes on the All-Big 12 Team, and four receiving AVCA All-Region honors.
Outside hitter Kamryn Gibadlo earned the program's 24th AVCA All-America recognition as an honorable mention, and is already commanding attention heading into 2025 making the AVCA Division I Player of the Year preseason watch list.
LOOKING TO 2025
Utah Volleyball will be tested early and often among some of the best the sport has to offer, starting their season with an exhibition match against No. 5 Texas in Austin on August 15.
The Utes will have other opportunities to prove themselves in the AVCA Top-25 against No. 24 Dayton, No. 9 Texas A&M, No. 1 Nebraska, No. 13 Arizona State, No. 14 Kansas, No. 25 TCU, No. 20 Baylor and rival BYU at No. 19.
