Upcoming Event: Women's Tennis versus ITA All-American Championships on September 20, 2025

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Utah women's tennis team started off the fall slate with strong performances at the Jon Messick Invitational hosted by Colorado State.
Hailey Kerker (Camas, Washington/Camas HS) went 3-0 in singles action and won the I-Draw. She started with an impressive 6-1, 6-2 win over Chicago's Sunny Lu in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, Kerker defeated Anishka Amalnathan from Colorado State with 6-4, 6-2 scores. Kerker then picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win over Naomi Johnson in the finals to claim the draw title.
Emma Valletta (Ravena, Italy) picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win over Utah State's Olivia Halvorsen in the quarterfinals of the A-Draw.
In the B-Draw, Hayley Roberts picked up a three set victory over Natalie Paterova with 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 scores. She then picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win over Emma Petton from New Mexico State in the semifinals.
Dylan Lolofie (Salt Lake City, Utah) started strong with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Air Force's Maya Michalski in the quarterfinals of the E-Draw. Lolofie then picked up a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win in the semifinals over Dilnaz Mashabayeva from Wyoming.
In the H-Draw, Kamea Medora defeated Kavya Khirwar from Montana State with 6-3, 7-5 scores.
The Utes also found success in doubles action. Valletta and Andjelija Markovic picked up a 6-3 win over Chicago's Sarena Biria and Clara Zou. The Utah duo then went on to defeat Shivaani Selvan and Jariahlyn Rhoades from Air Force 6-4 to win their draw.
Roberts and Medora dropped their opening round of doubles but picked up a 6-2 win over Weber State's Savannah Johnson and Naomi Johnson in the 3-4 playoff.
Lolofie and Kerker also battled in a 3-6 loss in their doubles opening match but the duo bounced back with a 6-3 win over Utah State's Maria Paula Ramos Garcia and Kylee Sperry.
